JOB SUMMARY
The Country Programs Coordinator – Institutional Funding (IF) will serve as a primary contact point of institutional donors facing functions. S/he will work in close coordination with the Country Programs Manager, area programs coordinators and officers and medical commodities and technical team members as well as other staff of relevance within the Grants and Partnerships, MEAL/IM, and Operations departments to ensure quality and timely planning and implementation of MedGlobal institutionally funded Health and Nutrition projects countrywide to the organizational and donors standards.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· In close collaboration with the Country Programs Manager, actively participates in prospect institutional donors’ engagement.
· Undertaking programmatic analysis of the institutional funding opportunities shared by the Grants and SMT.
· Actively participates in Go/No-Go meetings relevant to prospect funding opportunities.
· Actively coordinates the program’s team efforts during the planning phase of the institutionally funded projects.
· Serves as a primary orchestrator of the proposal development process for the prospect funding opportunities.
· Serves as a focal point of contact in terms of the prospect and ongoing projects with the relevant institutional donors as well as MedGlobal Partners, the national health and nutrition sectors and Ministries of Health and Higher Education.
· Leads on the kick-off, progress review, and close-out meetings of the approved projects.
· Coordinate with the Area Programs Coordinators, Officers, Medical Commodities and Technical Team Members, MEAL/IM, Operations and Grants Departments to ensure quality and timely implementation of the projects in line with the agreed-on plans and to the applicable organizational and IF donors standards.
· Orchestrates the Programs Department Team efforts toward quality and timely donor reporting.
· In coordination with the Programs Department Team Members, ensure proper documentation and archiving of the implemented IF projects.
· Supports the Programs Department development efforts as guided by the Programs Manager.
· Undertakes other duties assigned by the Country Programs Manager (<= 10% of the working time).
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
· Minimum of NGO work experience of 3 years focused on projects and/or grants management.
· Familiarity with Health and Nutrition Programming is preferred.
· Familiarity with Institutional Funding Mechanisms and Requirements.
· Awareness about the National Health System Governance and Funding Landscape is a Plus.
· Native Speaker of Arabic.
· Fluency in English.
· Business Administration or Medical Educational Backgrounds are preferred.
· Working Knowledge of Microsoft Office Application, Google Forms, and Kobo Toolbox Applications are Highly Desired.
· Prioritization, Problem Solving, Negotiation and communication among other interpersonal skills.
