JOB SUMMARY
Experienced in coordinating health projects and community-based activities with strong ability to manage operations, partnerships, and field logistics. Skilled in organizing medical campaigns, supporting visiting specialists, and assessing local health needs to inform planning. Proficient in data management and reporting, including advanced Excel use. Capable of leading teams, supervising digital learning platforms, and representing the organization in meetings and media engagements. Brings strong communication skills, professionalism under pressure, and fluency in English with preferred Arabic competency.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Area Coordinator is responsible for
· Coordinate and supervise all projects in the area, ensuring alignment with plans, standards, and organizational goals.
· Liaise with health authorities, directorates, community charities, donors, and partners to ensure smooth communication, approvals, and project support.
· Organize medical campaigns, coordinate logistics, and provide operational support for visiting doctors to ensure efficient service delivery.
· Assess the medical situation in Homs, prepare concise evaluations, and provide recommendations for planning and decision-making.
· Manage project data and prepare periodic Excel reports related to patients, activities, and trainings.
· Prepare and submit regular progress reports and required documentation.
· Supervise the online learning platform team and ensure efficient workflow and content delivery.
· Organize and participate in meetings, ensuring proper follow-up and documentation.
· Represent the organization in interviews, recorded videos, and public communications about projects.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Should have the following skills, education, and experience:
- Degree in Medicine, Public Health, or a related field.
- Experience in coordination, healthcare, community engagement, or organizing medical activities (preferred).
- Strong communication, networking, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in English (mandatory); Arabic is highly preferred.
- Strong Excel and report-writing skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, multitask, and travel within the area when needed
