The organization is composed of medical and public health professionals of diverse backgrounds.
JOB SUMMARY
Providing women's health and obstetrics services, and improving the health standards for women and girls, including prenatal and gynecological care.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The midwife has the following responsibilities and duties:1.
Provide comprehensive antenatal, and postnatal care to pregnant women in line with clinical guidelines.
2.
Conduct safe deliveries and ensure skilled birth attendance, including early identification and referral of complications.
3.
Offer family planning counseling and services.
4.
Support newborn care, including immediate resuscitation, breastfeeding initiation, and growth monitoring.
5.
Maintain accurate patient records and submit timely reports.
6.
Conduct health education sessions for women, families, and communities on maternal, newborn, and child health.
7.
Ensure infection prevention and control measures are strictly followed.
8.
Participate in training and capacity-building activities to maintain updated knowledge and skills.
9.
Uphold confidentiality, dignity, and respect in all patient interactions.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Should have the following skills, education, and experience:
1. Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Midwifery or Nursing with a valid midwifery license/certification.
2. At least five years of experience as a midwife.
3. High communication skills
4. Problem-solving skills
5. Empathy skills
6. Written and verbal communication skills
