ABOUT MEDGLOBAL

MEDGLOBAL is a global humanitarian non-profit organization providing medical and health education services to people in need, including refugees and displaced people, in disaster and underserved regions. The organization is composed of medical and public health professionals of diverse backgrounds.

 

 

VOLUNTEERING SUMMARY


In collaboration with MedGlobal Syria

 Main Conference Dates: 11–12 April

 With additional side activities before and after the main conference days

Are you studying or recently graduates from the following fields:

 Medicine- Dentistry- Pharmacy- Health Sciences- Allied Health Professions

 

The Conference Volunteer will provide executive and operational support to the organizing team of the “New Syria” Conference. This is a non-managerial, exvolunteersocused volunteer role designed to assist with logistics, communication, participant coordination, and data management before, during, and after the conference and its related activities.

The volunteer will work closely with the organizing committee to ensure smooth implementation of conference operations and side medical and educational activities.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIEs

A. Logistics & Event Operations

• Assist in pre-conference logistical preparations

• Support venue setup, training room preparation, and material distribution

• Manage registration and reception desks

• Organize and update attendance lists

• Provide on-site operational support during conference days

 

B. Communication & Participant Coordination

• Assist in preparing and sending invitations to participants and speakers

• Follow up on attendance confirmations

• Support communication via phone and email as needed

• Maintain and update participant tracking sheets

 

C. Academic & Field Activities Support

• Assist with parallel training sessions

• Support coordination of side medical campaigns

• Contribute to pre- and post-conference activities

 

D. Data Management & Reporting

• Conduct data collection as assigned

• Perform accurate data entry

• Maintain databases using Microsoft Excel

• Support preparation of basic reports and summaries

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

• Undergraduate students or recent graduates in (Medicine-Dentistry-Pharmacy- Health Sciences- Allied Health Professions)

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to work effectively within a team

• High level of responsibility and punctuality

• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment

• Basic to intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

• Good command of English (preferred)

• Personal laptop available for use during the engagement (preferred)

• Prior experience in event organization or volunteering (preferred)
